Dressing your Client for Success at Deposition and Trial

January 9, 2017
SHARE POST:

When you think of courtroom statements, your mind may not immediately jump to fashion. But if you are representing the plaintiff in an important case — whether a personal injury claim, a contract dispute or a sexual harassment claim — the main goal is developing your client’s credibility. This is done by creating the image of an “honest and sympathetic” individual during the Witness Deposition — as well as during the trial itself. After all, you only have one chance to make a good first impression on the jurors, opposing counsel, and judge, and what we wear has a tremendous impact on exactly that. Wearing clothing that is distracting or offensive to other parties during a trial can significantly hurt your chances.

In this article, I discuss some aspects of the courtroom process, and how dressing and acting professionally can give you a better chance of obtaining a favorable outcome in your case. Contact me today if you are seeking legal assistance with your personal injury claim, or with any of the other categories listed on my website.
